Sikar district, known as Shikshanagari across the country, will now show its strength in medical education as well. On Wednesday, October 23, at the Rising Rajasthan Global Investors Summit held at Hotel Park Avenue and Resort, Prince EduHub signed an MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) of Rs 600 crore for Prince Medical College and hospital in the city, which will benefit not only Sikar but the entire Shekhawati area.
A 700-bed hospital is under construction near Kaharon Ki Dhani on Jaipur Road in Sikar. The Prince Medical College will be on five floors, while the hospital will be a 6-floor hospital, the first multispecialty hospital in Sikar. At the summit, Prince EduHub Chairman Dr Piyush Sunda said that on the lines of Delhi AIIMS, the Prince Hospital Sikar would have 21 departments, including trauma unit, cancer unit, neuro, and heart. In the first phase, 100 doctors will be appointed in the hospital. He said there is every possibility of the hospital starting by December next year. Prince Medical College will also be established after its affiliation with NMC.
The first 700-bed hospital in Shekhawati Region
There is no big multispecialty hospital, not only in Sikar but also in the entire Shekhawati region. In serious conditions, the family must take the patient to Jaipur. In such a situation, many times, the patient also dies due to not getting timely treatment. In such a situation, after the MoU of the Prince Medical College and Hospital and Prince EduHub, this will be the first 700-bed multispecialty hospital in the Shekhawati region, which can benefit not only Sikar but also patients from many nearby districts like Neemkathana, Churu, Bikaner, Jhunjhunu, Hanumangarh. More than 1500 people will get direct employment from this project.
Administration Support
At the Investor Summit, apart from Prince Medical College, about 101 institutions have drawn a blueprint for investment of Rs 2761 crore regarding Prince EduHub’s investment in medical education, real estate, hotels, resorts, and many other industries. Due to this, about 12 thousand people will be employed in the coming time. In this program, Sikar District Collector Mukul Sharma said that the entire state has created an environment of investment. The government has also started many schemes for the investors. He said that every possible help would be provided to the investors and entrepreneurs investing in the district. He further noted that the District Industries Centre has been instructed to continuously monitor all the projects and coordinate with the concerned departments to resolve possible problems.
